MTC Mini Musical series is designed for aspiring young actors interested in a short musical theatre experience. Mini Musicals are a culmination of a condensed children's book reworked with song and dance designed to enable each actor to learn what it takes to be on stage. It's fast paced and a lot of fun for everyone.

Ages

Most MTC Mini Musicals are for children ages 4 to 10 and a few allow children up to the age of 12. It all depends on the show. Each MTC mini musical will clearly state that age range appropriate for the chosen script.

Audition

No audition required/No experience necessary. Cast members will participate in group activities during the first session to allow the director to cast roles for the mini musical production.

Costumes

All costumes are put together by parents with guidance by MTC staff.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals focus on training the student to deliver lines, sing, dance and work as a team to deliver a short musical for family and friends. Rehearsals are on Fridays from 3pm-5pm or 5pm-7pm.

Performances

A short performance for family and friends is held on the last Workshop day. $12 per ticket with children under 3 free.

Tuition

Tuition for each mini workshop: $165.00 (plus costume)

Parent Meeting

A Mandatory Parent meeting is held 15 minutes prior to the end of the first scheduled rehearsal for all Mini Musicals. Each cast member must have an adult family member in attendance at the parent meeting. This is where we hand out scripts, costume information, and the cast list.
